Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry

Founded in 1995, the Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry (BIAD) is an international center of postgraduate specialization for doctors, dental assistants and dental office staff on the subjects of aesthetic and functional dentistry.

Its clinics are located on two continents: The Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry Clinic is located in Moscow and Dream Smile Dental Clinic is situated in Boston. The Moscow branch offers a structured course curriculum involving a series of programs while the Boston location offers customized educational plan. The Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry aids Russian dentists in the participation of international conferences in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Delegations of doctors from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and other Russian cities have already visited several international conferences with BIAD that they may not have had access to otherwise, and have successfully applied their acquired knowledge and skills in their practice.

The postgraduate curriculum for doctors, dental assistants, management personnel and dental office staff, presented by the Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry consists of a fundamental program and supplementary programs.

The fundamental program includes:

  • Occlusal master program consisting of 9 modules
  • Diagnosis and treatment of TMJ program - 4 modules
  • Restorative Master program - 5 modules
  • Neuromuscular orthodontics program - 3 modules
  • Dental Surgery Program - 3 modules
  • School of Business Program - 5 modules

The fundamental program takes an advanced comprehensive approach to theory and practice applicable to all specialties in dentistry. It teaches the fundamental principles of treating patients with signs and symptoms of temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD). You will learn to identify patients with TMJ disorders or sleep apnea, set appropriate treatment goals for these types of patients, learn how to properly diagnose and treatment plan, and learn the fundamental methods of restorative treatment and orthodontic rebuilding of the bite.

Physiological occlusion is the key to successful treatment and prevention of any dental pathology we come across in our dental practice on a daily basis, regardless of the dental specialty. For this reason, 60 % of the fundamental program is devoted to the studyof occlusal disorders, methods of their diagnosing and treatment, as well as the pinpointing of optimal occlusion during restorative treatment, orthodontic treatment and implant placement.

«The diagnosis and treatment of TMJ disorders" is an integrated program of theoretical lectures and practical exercises after which you will feel confident performing restorative treatment, orthodontic treatment as well as the treatment of TMD.

Restoration programs, based on advanced technologies, will reveal the secrets of success in dental restorations.

The surgical program will allow you to gain knowledge about the latest technologies of the implantation, bone plastics and craniofacial procedures.

The Neuromuscular Orthodontics Program will allow you to master the methods of orthodontic treatment, which make it possible to reduce treatment time significantly as well as minimize relapse and prevent the patient from developing TMJ disorders and/or sleep apnea in the future.

The School of Business Program presents essential tools which are necessary to manage a successful practice. The program covers topics such as successful dental marketing, as well as working effectively with staff and patients.

The program is established in a way that anyone can create an individual package of courses and additional modules, depending on their professional interests and needs.

The founding of the Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry, which provides educational programs with advanced theory and practice of neuromuscular dentistry, has led to an increasing demand for diagnostic and treatment equipment, to practice the neuromuscular concept.

Myotronics is a well-known leader in the production of neuromuscular equipment in the United States. It meets the highest standards of quality, accuracy and security and is recommended for use by U.S. health authorities (FDA and ADA). Thanks to Dr. Ronkin, this equipment has been certified in Russia, and in just a few years has gained a deserved popularity in the professional environment. More about Myotronics...

Gerchanikov Roman, Chief Doctor of The Clinic "Nuance" - The Center of Modern Dentistry) Moscow, Russia.

Treating and restoring patients in their habitual occlusion has not always been successful; we were not able to help people with a variety of symptoms and to relieve them from pain and TMJ disorders.

In order to be able toapply my newly aquired knowledge and skills confidently I took the "Occlusal master course", which opened new horizons for me in the treatment planning of complex dental patients.

This newly acquired knowledge and skills have allowed me and my colleagues to provide better and more extensive care to patients. And now I'm happy to use them.

I recommend this course to everybody who wants to treat patients as a true dental professional.

Kargapolov Alexei (Shatura, M.R. " KarAlDent ")

To acquire a knowledge of the neuromuscular concept, I took the fundamental course "Occlusal Master Course" at The Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry. I can say without exaggeration that this course completely changed my outlook on dentistry in general. Now I have a clear understanding that the dentist is not just a doctor who drills and fills teeth. A dentist is a specialist, who helps people improve their health in general.

After this course, I purchased a J-5 Myomonitor and successfully use it in my practice. I recommend this course with confidence to all clinicians who wish to improve their professionalism and reach a new level of practice.

Kolesova Inna (LLC "Gloves", Moscow)

I attended the seminars on "Diagnosis of occlusal disorders, their prevention and treatment guidelines in therapeutic, prosthetic dentistry and orthodontics clinics", "Functional Occlusion in aesthetic dentistry" and the Master Class "Aesthetic reconstruction and therapeutic treatment of patients with TMJ disorders."

I was interested in modern computerized diagnostic methods, as well as the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by occlusal and TMJ disorders.

In my daily practice I began to use myo-stimulator for the reprogramming of the head and neck muscles during the pinpointing of centric jaw relation.

I recommend all of the seminars in BIAD, because the knowledge of Russian doctors in the subject of neuromuscular dentistry is quite poor while neuromuscular pathologies are becoming widespread.

Parilov Viktor (Professor of Dentistry, MD, Chief Doctor of The Aesthetic Medicical Center "Renovatzio" and dental clinic "VOKA", implant dentist, prosthodontist.

During the training at the Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry I attended several seminars on various aspects of neuromuscular dentistry. I've always been interested in finding the optimal occlusion as well as treatment of TMJ disorders so I decided to attend the seminars, which I would recommend to all dentists of different specialization.

It is important that the seminars in BIAD give you not only the theory, but also the practical skills. Practically the next day after attending the seminar I could apply this knowledge in my daily practice, increasing the effectiveness of the treatment.

Shikova Eugenia

I attended Dr. Ronkin's seminar on the introduction to the neuromuscular dentistry and neuromuscular orthodontics. I had been interested in this subject for a long time so I wanted to understand betterwhat neuromuscular dentistry is.

It turned out that it is a completely new concept and view of a patient's disorder Actually it is based on an approach to the human body as a whole, not just the dental system.

You can and you should apply the knowledge gained at the seminar in everyday practice. In my opinion, every modern dentist should be aware of the concept of neuromuscular dentistry.

The Boston Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry will be organizing seminars of the world's renowned dental experts.
